2018 Quilt Show
Friendship Through the Years
Calling all Quilters!
It is time again to bond our friendship and talents to create a quilt for the Mountain Laurel Festival. Just like the components that fit together to make a quilt, so are there components that make good friendships. Let's honor those friendships that we have formed over the years with a quilt.
The theme for this years quilt show is "Friendships Through the Years". Our Opportunity quilt pattern will be the Friendship Star. Please look on this website (Quilt Forms) for the pattern. Please use a white fabric for the "Star" part of the square. The color options are up to you. Some of you may have fabric left over from last year's project. Remember to sign your square with a permanent marking pen. The deadline for turning in your square is March 15th. Turn them in to Linda Jones, Marta Monroe, or Dorcus McBrayer or the Visitor's Center in Wartburg. For more information JoNell Hester 1-615-513-9269.
This year we are excited to be able to have our quilt show in the First Baptist Church. The building is secured by an alarm system. The show welcomes any and all quilts that you would like to share. There will be a special exhibit for friendship quilts, so if you own a friendship quilt or you know someone that owns a friendship quilt, please bring it and share with us. There will be a Viewers Choice Award. Click below for Registration, Rules and Patterns:
