The SonLight Puppeteers are an evangelistic outreach ministry of Central Baptist Church of Bearden in Knoxville, Tennessee. Being a puppeteer requires hard work and a strong Christian commitment, and the puppeteers find that it is also fun and rewarding.

The primary goal of this ministry is to share the gospel and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. With puppets we can reach out to people as no other ministry can, because everyone loves and accepts puppets. Puppets transcend any prejudices or opposition to traditional witnessing methods. With humorous as well as serious Christian messages that are communicated through skits and songs, we are able to witness in a unique and dynamic way. We take our team name from what we do… share the light that comes from Jesus the Son. We pray that, with each performance, others will see Christ in us and receive His word. In addition to being a wonderful way to spread the gospel, a puppet ministry offers Christian youth the opportunity to work for the Lord in an unusual way and challenging way.
