WATE-TV Live Broadcast!


The Morgan County Community is invited and encouraged to come on Friday May 17 from 3 to 4 pm to watch WATE CHANNEL 6 conduct their television program on the Courthouse Square in Wartburg. We are honored to be the FIRST in the series of programming local communities throughout East Tennessee.

Co-Hosts Kelli Parker and Erin Barnett will be broadcasting live WATE’s LIVING EAST TENNESSEE program highlighting the fifth anniversary of THE TENNESSEE MOUNTAIN LAUREL FESTIVAL. Surprise guests and event persons will be interviewed and highlighted.

The Friday May 17 Pet Parade, Concert featuring Southern Steel Band and Fireworks by The Brushy Mountain Group will be previewed. Four business enterprises participated in purchasing advertisements to be presented during the program.

Pets and their owners should be at the location at 2:45 pm. After the filming they may go home and come back at the scheduled parade time in the evening.

In addition to the Live Program, the Festival will be on WATE Facebook and promo’s will be announcing the First of the Programming Series.

ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS OF MORGAN COUNTY SCHOOLS!

The Tennessee Mountain Laurel Festival organization invites all graduating seniors to participate in a drawing for $100 cash prize. To be eligible a student must register at the Friday May 17 concert from 6 to 9 pm or Saturday 10 to 5 at the Festival. Drawing will be held at 5 pm Saturday. The student does not have to be present to win.
